She is 18 years old and loves Omega! She's a college student at BYU studying Elementary Education and Spanish. She loves singing, playing the piano, ice skating, playing soccer and being loud and crazy! She's been in martial arts for only 3 years and is testing for temporary Black Belt this year. She loves Omega because it gives a second family and a place to escape from the stress of college life. Breaking boards is pretty awesome too.


Amanda Schoemig

She ahs been around Omega for many years, but only just started taking classes 3 years ago in 2007. She is attending UVU studying Dance Education. Amanda loves to dance and martial arts and thinks the two go together perfectly! She also enjoys being outside and hanging out with her friends. She is looking forward to testing for her temporary Black Belt this fall with her little brother Chandler.

Kaitlyn Brower
2nd Dan

She started martial arts when she was in 4th grade to prove a friend wrong. not only did she show hime she "could last a month in martial arts", she got her Black Belt in 3 years and 9 months later. She was the grand champion 3 years in a row in national competition. She has been on STORM/SWAT/Elite demo teams for the past 8 years. Her favorite teaching assignments have been with the 3-6 year old kid kickers and working with the black belt candidates. Her "specialty move" is the front snap kick. Her favorite weapon is her sexy red and black bo staff. She is a graduate of American Fork High School where she was consistently on the honor roll and won the western regionals with the marching band. She got her associates from UVU and EMT from UFRA to be a new century scholar. She is now attending BYU, majoring in Music Education, and preparing for a career as a cardiothoracic surgeon.

He is 17 years old and has been involved with Omega since 1999. He has been in other studios by none have the same feel as Omega. He things that one of the major reasons that he likes this studio is that it makes you work hard to get to Black Belt which makes the Black Belt mean so much more. He got his Temporary three years ago and he is testing for 2nd Dan this year. Besides martial arts, he loves to do stage crew at Lone Peak High School. He also loves to scuba dive.


Kenny Schoemig
1st Dan

He is 17 years old and he started when he was 6 years old at the Omega Payson school. He moved with his family to Cedar Hills and started going to Omega Pleasant Grove shortly after. He has achieved his Temporary Black Belt in 2006 and his 1st Dan in October 2007. He likes to hang out with his friends, read books and play sports. His favorite board game is Risk. He has the bo staff, nunchucks and tetherball skills.

He likes to hang out with friends, throw knives and do martial arts. Omega has given him the confidence, the best friends anyone could ask for and got him in shape.


Raystan Josie

He loves to do martial arts. He likes doing it because its fun to compete in and to do demos. Martial arts lets you be who you are and depends on you individually.


Bethany Wood
2010 1st Dan Black Belt Candidate

She started martial arts when she was 9 years old and has been to 3 different studios since then and loves Omega. She enjoys using weapons like the fan and sword. In her free time, she hikes, bikes, runs and just exercises. She also likes reading, writing and doing anything with music. She loves being with an amazing team and school.


Kyle Jardine
Red Belt

He is 14 years old and is the oldest of 5 children, 1 sister and 3 brother. He has helped all of his siblings learn karate skills. They have a lot of fun practicing the martial art skills on the trampoline in their backyard. He has been taking from Omega for over 2 years now. He loves Tae Kwon Do because it gives him exercise and enjoyment. He has a circle of friends that he has met through class. He has gained self esteem and confidence as he has advanced in rank with Omega. He likes to jump on the trampoline and do tricks and flips. TKD has helped him with this too. He hopes to be able to learn more tricks in the next year on the Elite Team.


Allan Maughan
1st Dan

Allan Maughan started Tae Kwon Do at the age of 5, from the beginning the instructors knew he had what it took to be a black belt. He is one of Springville Omega's first kick kickers to achieve the rank of Black Belt. Now at age 14 he enjoys the responsibility of helping instruct the Kid Kicker Program at the Springville Studio. Allan is actively involved in his school where is a Honor/Gifted & Talented student and member of Springville Junior High Golf Team. In his spare time he also enjoys backpacking, fishing, hunting and playing any kind of ball.


Trevor Millar

He has been in martial arts since he was 7. He loves doing martial arts because he likes to be tested and do demos. He likes to dee what he can do and challenge himself.


Braden Carlson
2010 Temporary Black Belt Candidate

I am 11 years old and the oldest of 3 children. I have been in Tae Kwon Do for 5 years. I enjoy weapons, 360 and 180 kicks, musicals and forms. I have competed and earned awards in a martial arts national competition and am currently preparing for the 2010 Black Belt test to receive my temporary black belt. Studying martial arts is my favorite things to do. I really enjoy the classes and love to work on new material. I especially enjoy making new friends and having fun. There are many other things outside of class that I enjoy. I love skiing, playing sports, learning new things at school and spending time with good friends, neighbors and my family. w


Chandler Schoemig

He started martial arts when he was a wee child. His favorite things to do in martialarts are flipping things, bo staff, and stud man skills. He likes sports (football, basketball, hockey and soccer). He was born in 1999 and has been attending the Omega Pleasant Grove school his whole like. He has 2 sisters and 3 brothers that all take Taekwondo. His favorite thing to do is hang out with family and friends
